International Yoga Festival To Be Held In Rishikesh From March 01 To March 07
More than 20 thousand yoga practitioners are expected to gather in the seven-day event

The International Yoga Festival to be held in Rishikesh from March 01 to March 07, 2025, will also witness the presence of renowned gurus and yogacharyas from the world of religion, spirituality and yoga. The Mahotsav will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation and Tourism Department are organizing the International Yoga Festival at Ganga Resort Rishikesh. GMVN MD Vishal Mishra said that this time more than 20 thousand people will participate in the event.
Numerous yga practitioners and participants are expected to attend. Swami Avdheshanand Giri Maharaj, Acharya Balkrishna, Swami Atmaswaroop, Jaya Kishori, Akshat Gupta will guide the festival. Along with this, Indian Ocean, Prem Joshua, Jyoti Nooran, Narendra Singh Negi and Uttarakhandi folk dances will be presented in the cultural function held every evening. Along with this, Grand Master Akshar, Yogi Abhishek Soti, Yogini Usha Mata, Dr. Lakshmi Narayan Joshi, Dr. Arpita Negi, Yogini Urmila Pandey and Megha Chaudhary will also give lectures in different sessions. Yoga practitioners from India and abroad will conduct yoga exercises for practitioners and yoga participants every day.
The event has been running continuously for three decades
International Yoga Festival is being organized in Rishikesh for three decades. GMVN MD Vishal Mishra told that last year 890 foreign guests from 42 countries participated in the event, this time this number is expected to increase. Registrations for participation are being done online as well as offline, online registration can be done at https://gmvnonline.com . He told that this time Yoga Mahotsav is being organized on Green Theme, hence special cleanliness drive will be conducted at the venue and Ganga banks before and after the festival.

Yoga also plays an important role in the Honorable Prime Minister’s Fit India campaign. Therefore, the government is trying to popularize yoga activities in Rishikesh. International Yoga Festival is a step in this direction”, said Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.”
