Showcases Mega Line-Up of Advanced Machines and Digital Solutions

JCB India has made one of its biggest-ever showcases at EXCON 2025, South Asia’s premier construction equipment exhibition, with the launch of over 10 new machines and breakthrough digital technologies. Headlining the launch is the company’s largest-ever made-in-India 52-tonne excavator, designed for the domestic as well as global export markets — reinforcing JCB India’s growing engineering capabilities and leadership in the construction and infrastructure equipment sector.

The new portfolio also includes the next-generation backhoe loaders, the latest 2–5 tonne Excavator Range, industry-first digital innovations, and multiple sustainability-driven technologies.

JCB Strengthens India’s Position as a Global Manufacturing Hub

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Deepak Shetty, CEO & MD, JCB India, said, “EXCON brings together customers, policymakers, contractors, financiers, suppliers, and technology leaders, creating an ecosystem for strategic collaboration and long-term business growth. JCB exports to more than 135 countries from India, and this year we are hosting customers from South Asia, Africa and South-East Asia. EXCON allows us to align our innovations with evolving global and Indian infrastructure demands.”

New Product Launches Demonstrate “Customer-First” Engineering

Commenting on the launches, Mr. Shetty added, “At JCB, we believe that if it is important for the customer, it is important for us. Entering new segments, improving fuel efficiency, and enhancing operator safety reflect our engineering DNA.”

The 52T excavator expands JCB’s footprint in the high-capacity excavation segment, while the enhanced backhoe loaders and compact excavators deliver higher productivity, efficiency, and versatility for contractors across sectors.

Sustainability Takes Centre Stage: Hydrogen Genset Debuts

JCB reaffirmed its commitment to cleaner technologies with the introduction of a hydrogen-powered genset, marking another major step in its green transformation journey.

In 2023, JCB had pioneered the world’s first hydrogen engine powering a backhoe loader, delivering diesel-equivalent performance with zero carbon emissions.

“Innovation in hydrogen is accelerating globally,” Mr. Shetty said. “When the time comes, JCB is ready to power India’s infrastructure growth with sustainable, future-ready technologies.”

Over the past 15 years, JCB has achieved a 45% improvement in fuel efficiency, significantly lowering operational costs and environmental impact for customers.
