Employees’ Apex Body Takes 8th CPC Objections to PM Modi

The controversy surrounding the Terms of Reference (ToR) for the newly constituted 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC) seems to have escalated, with the National Council (JCM) Staffside—the apex body of Central Government employees—formally approaching Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Following a meeting of its staff representatives on November 15, the JCM Staffside sent a detailed letter on November 17 demanding several crucial amendments to the ToR, which they deem as insufficient and lacking clarity, particularly for pensioners.
