KVIC Disburses Rs 300 Crore Subsidy Under PMEGP to 8,794 Beneficiaries Across India

The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, disbursed margin money subsidy worth Rs 300 crore to 8,794 beneficiaries across the country under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). The disbursement was carried out through a virtual mode event organized on Tuesday from the KVIC Central Office at Irla Road, Vile Parle (West), Mumbai.
KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar released the subsidy online, with KVIC CEO Roop Rashi and senior officers present at the headquarters. The subsidy was disbursed against sanctioned loans of approximately Rs 884 crore, marking a major milestone in promoting self-employment and entrepreneurship under the PMEGP scheme.
Speaking at the occasion, Chairman Manoj Kumar said, “Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the PMEGP scheme has created a strong base for self-employment in India. Khadi and Village Industries is not merely a product, but embodies the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. This scheme has provided livelihoods to lakhs and empowered youth with entrepreneurial capabilities.”
