Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2025: The Grand Confluence of Tourism in the Heart of India

Over 700 delegates from 27 countries to participate in India’s largest state-level travel mart in Bhopal

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is all set to showcase its tourism potential at the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM) 2025, being held from October 11 to 13 at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, Bhopal.

Organized by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, the three-day event will bring together global stakeholders from the tourism, hospitality, and film industries, positioning the state as a global tourism hub.

Over 700 Delegates and 80 Foreign Tour Operators

MPTM 2025 will host more than 700 participants, including over 80 foreign tour operators from 27 countries and 150 domestic tour operators. The mart will feature 355 sellers, film representatives, and media professionals, making it India’s largest state-level travel event.

Tourism Minister Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi said the event, organized in collaboration with FICCI, will provide a strong platform to connect Madhya Pradesh’s hoteliers, homestay owners, and tour operators with global buyers. “This initiative will enhance tourist inflow, boost local employment, and promote economic growth,” he noted.

3,000 B2B Meetings and Global Partnerships

Over 3,000 B2B meetings will take place during the mart, making it the largest business engagement in the state’s tourism sector. Conferences and roundtable sessions will also be held with state tourism departments, investors, and corporate event organizers to explore opportunities in tourism, hospitality, weddings, and MICE sectors.

Sheo Shekhar Shukla, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary (Tourism, Culture, Home, and Religious Trusts & Endowments), said the mart will showcase Madhya Pradesh’s heritage, wildlife, handicrafts, and film tourism. Over 120 exhibition stalls will feature local art forms like Gond painting and Chanderi saree weaving, along with handloom and handicraft displays.

Cultural Showcases and Film Industry Presence

Cultural highlights include a 40-minute dance performance choreographed by Ms. Maitreyee Pahari, depicting the state’s heritage and natural beauty. The iconic Maihar Band and tribal dance troupes will also perform, reflecting Madhya Pradesh’s rich traditions.

The film industry will be represented by renowned personalities including Ekta Kapoor, Gajraj Rao, Sunita Rajwar, Vishal Furia, and Monisha Advani. The event will also feature discussions under the State Film Policy to promote film tourism in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister to Lead Investor Meetings

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will lead investor meetings and participate in key sessions such as:

  • “Madhya Pradesh: From Hidden Gem to Global Icon” – focusing on heritage, wildlife, and eco-tourism.
  • “The Future of the Film Sector in Madhya Pradesh: From Reel to Real Growth” – highlighting the state’s growing film tourism potential.
  • Both sessions will feature industry experts, investors, and policymakers.

Influencer Meet and FAM Tours

Ahead of the main event, an Influencer Meet will be organized on October 9, bringing together top travel and lifestyle influencers from across India.

More than 200 delegates will participate in 14 Familiarization (FAM) trips covering Madhya Pradesh’s wildlife, heritage, and spiritual circuits. Delegates in Bhopal will also experience a Heritage Walk, Yoga and Wellness sessions, and Bird Watching at Van Vihar National Park.

Positioning Madhya Pradesh as a Global Tourism Icon

With participation from global brands such as The Lalit Group, IHCL, Air India, and Yatra.com, MPTM 2025 will serve as a global platform for collaboration and investment.

The event aims to position Madhya Pradesh as a world-class tourism destination, connecting it to 27 international markets and reinforcing its image as the “Heart of Incredible India.”
