Manoj Mittal Is The New CMD Of SIDBI

Mittal has over 33 years of extensive experience in the finance sector

Manoj Mittal has assumed the office as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI). He was appointed following the retirement of Sivasubramanian Ramann, who had served as CMD from April 19, 2021.

Mittal brings over 33 years of experience in the finance sector, including roles as Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Industrial Finance Corporation of India (IFCI) and Deputy Managing Director of SIDBI.

SIDBI was established on April 2, 1990, under an Act of Parliament. It serves as the principal financial institution for the promotion, financing, and development of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector and coordinates the activities of various institutions involved in similar functions. SIDBI operates under the regulatory supervision of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), along with other all-India financial institutions like the National Housing Bank, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), and the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank).
