MPMKVVCL Customers Can Now Pay Electricity Bills Via WhatsApp

MPMKVVCL ranked as the 6th best discom in India for Consumer service rating of discoms

Customers of MPMKVVCL (Madhya Pradesh Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Co Ltd) can now pay their electricity bills conveniently through WhatsApp. The service is a first-of-its-kind bill payment solution, wherein end-to-end payment happens within WhatsApp. The new payment on WhatsApp feature has been implemented by, the leading Conversational Engagement Platform, in partnership with WhatsApp and MPMKVVCL.

On sending a message to 07552551222, customers can enter the WhatsApp chat and through a step by step process, they can review and pay the bill without leaving WhatsApp or getting redirected to a new page. Once the payment is completed, the customer receives a confirmation message intimating the user about the payment completion.

The latest UPI integration on WhatsApp eliminates the need for customers to download multiple payment apps or visit offline payment collection centers. By leveraging the power of WhatsApp, has enabled customers to complete their bill payment process in a matter of seconds, without any additional effort or time investment. This initiative is a significant step towards the digitization of India’s electricity sector and is expected to set a new benchmark for customer experience in the industry. PayU is the payment processing partner under the initiative.

In a rating done by the Central government’s Ministry of Power and Rural Electrification Corporation (REC), MPMKVVCL ranked as the 6th best discom in India for Consumer service rating of discoms that was conducted among 58 discoms in India.
