Forum of MTNL Unions and Associations Urges Government to Implement 3rd PRC Parity with BSNL

Unions seeks immediate implementation of 3rd Pay Revision Commission for employees, citing Cabinet assurances and parity commitments with BSNL

The Forum of MTNL Unions and Associations — comprising MTNL Mazdoor Sangh and MTNL Executives’ Association — has appealed to the Government of India and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for the immediate implementation of the 3rd Pay Revision Commission (PRC) for MTNL employees in line with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). Citing earlier government assurances, cabinet decisions, and parity commitments, the Forum emphasized that MTNL employees must not be placed at a disadvantage compared to their BSNL and government counterparts.

In its representation, the Forum highlighted that while BSNL has completed all formalities for implementing the 3rd PRC for both executives and non-executives, MTNL’s proposal remains pending despite repeated assurances. The employees have urged for simultaneous implementation of the 3rd PRC in MTNL, noting that deputed officers are already receiving 7th Central Pay Commission benefits — further deepening the disparity. The Forum has sought the government’s prompt intervention to restore pay parity and motivate the workforce.

The detailed note written by the Forum of MTNL Unions and Associations to Secretary (Telecom) and CMD MTNL is given below for the benefit of the viewers of www.indianusu.com
