NTPC Mouda Declares Township Litter-Free on International Women’s Day 2026

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from women employees and township residents

Reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, NTPC Mouda declared its township litter-free on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2026, marking a significant milestone under NTPC’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives.

As part of its ongoing cleanliness initiative, “Mission Pariskar,” NTPC Mouda has been actively working towards transforming the township into a completely litter-free zone. Under the campaign, the township was divided into 24 zones, each managed by dedicated committees comprising employees and their family members. These committees regularly conduct cleanliness drives and encourage residents to adopt responsible waste disposal practices.

To commemorate International Women’s Day, NTPC Mouda organized a special campaign titled “She Leads Mission Pariskar.” The programme began with the assembly of women employees and spouses at Mouda Haat, followed by a Walkathon to Gulmohar Garden. During the walkathon, participants undertook a cleanliness drive and spread awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from women employees and township residents, highlighting their leadership and active role in building a cleaner and greener community.

On the occasion, Joseph Bastian, Head of Project, NTPC Mouda, officially declared the township litter-free and appreciated the collective efforts of employees, families, and residents in achieving this milestone. He also encouraged everyone to continue upholding high standards of cleanliness and environmental responsibility in the future.
