NTPC Official Alleged To Have Brutally Assaulted Truck Drivers In Jharkhand
Compromise reached after pressure tactics were applied, case goes unreported so far
In a bizarre case, an official of Maharatna PSU NTPC Limited, Diwakar Mishra, is alleged to have lost his cool and went rogue to brutally assault several truck drivers along with some of his henchmen, in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand. The incident is said to have taken place on September 10, last. Mishra is said to be a Despatch Officer with NTPC Limited.
Alongwith Diwakar Mishra, his henchmen are also seen wielding lathis and rods, threatening truck drivers.
Following the incident, truck drivers reached the local police station and filed a complaint in this regard. A copy of the complaint is given below for the benefit of the viewers of www.indianpsu.com –
The angry group of drivers stopped work and a tense situation prevailed near Chatti Bariatu coal mines.

It now remains to be seen how the top officials of NTPC react to this and whether or not any disciplinary action is taken against the accused officer.
