NTPC Talcher Thermal Concludes Inspiring Winter Workshop Under Girl Empowerment Mission

Program organized under the CSR initiative Girl Empowerment Mission, was aimed at empowering young girls through education, mentorship and life skills training

Talcher Thermal successfully concluded its Winter Workshop conducted from 26th December 2024 for 39 girls from nine government schools in its peripheral areas. The workshop, organized under the flagship CSR initiative Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM), aimed at empowering young girls through education, mentorship, and life skills training.

The program provided a platform for participants to interact with mentors, reflect on their growth journey, and discuss the transformative impact of the GEM program on their academic and personal lives after attending the camp in May, 2024. Students shared heartfelt reflections on how the initiative has boosted their confidence, broadened their horizons, and motivated them to aspire for a brighter future.

Addressing the students, Vijay Chand, Chief General Manager (CGM) & Head of Project (HOP), Talcher Thermal, stated: “At Talcher Thermal, we are deeply committed to promoting education and empowerment in our communities. Vibha Agarwal, President of the Sagarika Ladies Club, also addressed the students, inspiring them with her guidance and emphasizing the importance of self-belief and resilience in overcoming life’s challenges. Her motivational words encouraged the students to stay focused on their studies and strive to achieve their fullest potential.
