NTPC Unchahar Offers Free Education To 12 Outstanding Girls
Initiative underscores NTPC's commitment to the well-being and skill development of local children
As part of the girl empowerment initiative, NTPC Unchahar has offered free education to twelve outstanding girls from the summer workshop. Out of the 120 participants, these high-achieving girls are getting admission to the DAV Public School located within the NTPC Unchahar residential complex. An interaction program was held at the DAV School, where Project Head Mandeep Singh Chhabra engaged with the meritorious girls and their parents.
Encouraging the girls, Mr. Chhabra said, “Unleash the hidden talents within you and set your goals without feeling inferior to anyone. Strive to excel with your skills and courage.” He also urged parents to motivate and guide their daughters to complete school assignments and study diligently at home.
Head of Human Resources, Ruma De Sharma, boosted the girls’ morale, stating, “NTPC has provided you with a powerful platform. Make the most of it to enhance your personality.” She appealed to parents, emphasizing that their daughters are precious gems, and this opportunity aims to refine their talents.
Principal of DAV School, Devendra Mishra, highlighted the core values of the DAV institution, saying, “Morality and education are at the heart of our organization. These rural girls will practice both Hindi and English materials rigorously to outshine their peers. The school will extend every possible support to help them advance.”
The CSR department introduced the parents and girls to the Unchahar Project Head and expressed gratitude for his encouragement, which has accelerated the girl empowerment campaign. This initiative underscores NTPC’s commitment to the well-being and skill development of local children.
