ONGC, Reliance Sign Strategic MoU at India Energy Week 2026; Day Two Sees Fresh Collaborations
MoU to optimise offshore assets and boost India’s exploration and production ecosystem as IEW 2026 showcases new energy collaborations

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) and Reliance Industries Limited on Day One of India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at sharing offshore infrastructure and resources to unlock operational efficiencies, optimise assets and strengthen India’s offshore exploration and production ecosystem.
The collaboration marks a significant step toward fostering cooperation between India’s public and private energy majors, enabling better utilisation of offshore facilities, reduced costs and faster development of hydrocarbon resources. Industry observers view the partnership as aligned with the Government of India’s broader push for collaborative frameworks to enhance domestic energy security.
With Day Two underway, India Energy Week 2026 continues to gather momentum, witnessing a series of new collaborations, investment commitments and policy-driven announcements from leading domestic and global energy players. The event is serving as a key platform for dialogue on energy transition, upstream innovation, natural gas expansion and low-carbon technologies.
Senior government officials, industry leaders and international delegates are engaging across multiple sessions focused on strengthening India’s energy infrastructure, accelerating clean energy adoption and building resilient supply chains. Several additional agreements and project announcements are expected over the coming days, reinforcing IEW 2026’s role as a catalyst for partnerships across the energy value chain.
