Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his first visit to Kashi after the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, addressed a massive public gathering in Banauli village of Sevapuri on Saturday, crediting the mission’s success to Lord Mahadev’s blessings. Amid chants of ‘Har Har Mahadev’, the Prime Minister drew a powerful parallel between India’s counter-terror operations and Lord Shiva’s fierce form against evil.

Justice for Kashi’s Daughters, Strength from Mahadev

Recalling the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 innocent citizens, Modi said the pain of the victims’ families, especially the daughters and children, deeply moved him. “I had vowed before the people of Kashi and Baba Vishwanath that this injustice would not go unanswered. Today, that vow stands fulfilled,” he declared.

The Prime Minister symbolically referred to the operation as a defense of the ‘sindoor’ (vermilion) of India’s daughters—positioning the mission as both an act of national duty and moral justice.

India Fierce Like Shiva Against Terror

“Lord Shiva is known for benevolence but becomes fierce in the face of injustice,” Modi said. “The world witnessed this fierce form of India during Operation Sindoor.” He warned, “Whoever dares to attack India will not be spared—even in the netherworld.”

Highlighting the operation’s success, the Prime Minister said that Indian-made drones and precision missiles had reduced several terror camps in Pakistan to rubble. “Many of their airbases are still in the ICU,” he added.

UP to Become Missile Manufacturing Hub

Expressing pride in India’s growing defense self-reliance, PM Modi said the world had seen the capability of India’s indigenous defense technology. “The fear of BrahMos missile keeps our enemies awake at night,” he said.

Modi announced that BrahMos missiles would soon be manufactured in Lucknow, strengthening the UP Defense Corridor. “Missiles made in Uttar Pradesh will wipe out terrorists if Pakistan repeats its mistakes,” he warned.

New India: Devout Yet Fearless

The Prime Minister described the emerging New India as one that worships Bholenath (Shiva) but transforms into Kaal Bhairav when faced with threats. “This unity of 140 crore Indians gives strength to the nation. It awakens a new consciousness every time,” he said.

As the event concluded, Modi reiterated that India’s path to national security is clear: “We will not forgive, we will not forget, and we will not hesitate to strike.”
