Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has launched a major hiring drive through the PGCIL Field Engineer and Field Supervisor Recruitment 2025. This initiative offers experienced engineering professionals an excellent opportunity to join a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) on a contractual basis.

The recruitment drive aims to fill 1,543 vacancies across India for various ongoing and upcoming projects. Selected candidates will receive attractive compensation, with Field Engineers earning approximately ₹8.9 lakh annually (CTC) and Field Supervisors around ₹6.8 lakh annually (CTC).

Educational Qualification
Field Engineer (Electrical): Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Electrical discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks. Equivalent disciplines include Electrical (Power), Electrical and Electronics, Power Systems Engineering, and Power Engineering (Electrical).
Field Engineer (Civil): Full-time B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) in Civil discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
Field Supervisor (Electrical): Full-time Diploma in Electrical discipline or equivalent from a recognized technical board/institute with a minimum of 55% marks. Equivalent disciplines are the same as for the Field Engineer (Electrical).
Field Supervisor (Civil): Full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized technical board/institute with a minimum of 55% marks.
Field Supervisor (Electronics & Communication): Full-time Diploma in Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Information Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks. Equivalent disciplines include Electronics & Telecommunication, Electronics & Electrical Communication, and Telecommunication Engineering.
Important Note for Supervisor Posts: Candidates with higher technical qualifications like B.Tech./B.E./M.Tech./M.E. are not eligible to apply for Field Supervisor positions, even if they also possess a Diploma.

Age Limit
The upper age limit for all posts is 29 years as of September 17, 2025.
Relaxations in the upper age limit are applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India directives:
OBC (NCL): 3 years
SC/ST: 5 years
PwBD: 10 years (13 for OBC, 15 for SC/ST)
Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms.
