PNB Celebrates National Sports Day 2025 with Enthusiastic Multi-Sport Tournament
PNB Hockey Team Triumphs 3–0 Against Team Delhi at Shivaji Stadium

Punjab National Bank (PNB), India’s leading public sector bank, marked National Sports Day 2025 with a spirited multi-sport tournament that showcased its commitment to employee well-being, team spirit, and a healthy work culture.
In line with the directives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, PNB organized competitions across five sporting disciplines — Cricket, Hockey, Badminton, Table Tennis, and the Plank Challenge. The tournament drew a record 453 participants from the PNB family, reflecting enthusiasm, teamwork, and sporting excellence.
Adding to the excitement, PNB’s Hockey Team clinched a remarkable 3–0 victory against Delhi 11 at Shivaji Stadium, Connaught Place, on August 29, 2025. The win, coinciding with the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand, reinforced PNB’s longstanding support for Indian hockey and its legacy in the sport.
The event was graced by Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO, along with Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Executive Director, who applauded the winners and participants for their dedication and energy.
