PNG Being Supplied To Over 3500 Households In Varanasi
Under the Pradhan Mantri Urja Ganga Project, the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) is being supplied in more than 3500 houses in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency, Varanasi.
Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), within two years of starting this operation, is supplying clean-burning natural gas or PNG to as many as 3900 houses by laying a 62-kilometer long steel line and 364-kilometerlong pipeline. This pipeline connects 25,000 houses located at BHU, BLW, Bhelupur, and PWD colonies.
How to Install PNG connection?
A normal family consumes LPG gas of approx Rs 500 in a month. But for the installation of PNG connection, all you need is to follow below mentioned three simple schemes:
Standard option – A person needs to deposit a Rs 4000 security amount which is refundable.
Installation option – A person needs to deposit Rs 5 per day for 1000 days.
Flexi option – In this, a person will only have to pay Re 1 every day (as well as tax) till the time PNG connection is used by the family.
In all schemes, the amount of Rs 500 has to be deposited before the supply of PNG as security money.
It is also worth a mention that 40 percent domestic savings while 20 percent of commercial savings is being done with the help of PNG connection.
