Rajnath Singh Dedicates Titanium & Superalloy Materials Plant at PTC Industries’ Lucknow Complex
MoU signed between PTC Industries Limited and Bharat Dynamics Limited to form a joint venture

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh dedicated to the nation a Titanium and Superalloy Materials Plant at PTC Industries’ Strategic Materials Technology Complex in Lucknow, marking a major milestone in India’s quest for self-reliance in strategic defence materials.
Addressing the gathering, he said India must produce rare materials used in defence and aerospace to become a technology creator and safeguard its technological sovereignty. The facility, among the first private sector units to manufacture aero-engine and superalloy components, will help reduce dependence on imports.
An MoU was signed between PTC Industries Limited and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) to form a joint venture for the design, development, and manufacture of propulsion systems, guided bombs, and small aero-engines for missiles and UAVs.
PTC Industries also received Letters of Technical Acceptance (LoTA) from DRDO’s CEMILAC for the indigenous development of Titanium Rear Fin Root Casting for the AMCA and Oil Tank Assembly Titanium Castings for the Kaveri Derivative Engine (KDE-2), along with a Purchase Order from GTRE for Single Crystal Turbine Blades.
Established with an investment of ₹1,000 crore and spread across 50 acres, the Strategic Materials Technology Complex can produce over 6,000 tonnes per annum of aviation-grade Titanium and Superalloys from domestic and recycled sources, giving a strong push to the UP Defence Industrial Corridor and the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
