Relief Amount Distributed to Disaster-Affected Families in Pauri Garhwal
₹5 lakh each given for complete house damage and to kin of deceased

In line with the announcement made by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, relief cheques have been distributed to disaster-affected families in Pauri Garhwal district. On Saturday, the administration team reached the affected areas and handed over the assistance cheques.
On the evening of 26 August, the Chief Minister had announced that, along with Dharali and Tharali, families in Pauri whose houses were completely destroyed in the disaster, as well as the next of kin of the deceased, would be provided ₹5 lakh each as financial assistance. A part of this amount is being provided from the SDRF fund, while the remaining is being given from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
The Chief Minister had instructed that the relief should reach the beneficiaries quickly and transparently, assuring that the government stands firmly with affected families in this difficult time.
Acting promptly under the direction of District Magistrate Swati S. Bhadauria, a revenue department team led by Tehsildar Diwan Singh Rana visited the affected villages and distributed the cheques.
It may be recalled that due to heavy rains and landslides, a total of 22 residential houses were completely damaged in villages Sainji, Buransi, Raidul, Phaldwadi, Kyard, Kaloon, and Mankoli of Pauri tehsil, while 6 people lost their lives. Following the tragedy, the Chief Minister personally visited the affected areas on 7 August and directed the administration to provide immediate relief.
The families who received the cheques expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, saying that the financial support will help them rebuild their lives and is a big relief during such a crisis.
