The retirees have demanded immediate restoration of PRMS, creation of mandated medical corpus funds along with other demands

Retired executives of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) have raised serious concerns over the discontinuation of the Post Retirement Medical Scheme (PRMS), delays and abrupt changes in the Group Medical Insurance Policy (GMIP), and non-compliance with DPE guidelines on post-retirement benefits. In a detailed representation, they allege administrative arbitrariness, financial mismanagement, and violation of legal and constitutional obligations, including the right to health under Article 21. The retirees have demanded immediate restoration of PRMS, creation of mandated medical corpus funds, refund of contributions if the scheme is withdrawn, and a consultative mechanism to ensure fair and transparent policy decisions.

The representation given to CMD, RINL, by the Retired Steel Executives Association (RSEA) is given below for the benefit of the viewer of www.indianpsu.com
