RINL Imparts Income Generating Training For 540 Persons Belonging To Tribal Areas

The PSU has spent Rs 19.98 lakhs towards imparting training as part of its Corporate Environment Responsibility

With a view to enable economically weaker people of tribal areas to generate revenue on their own, RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam steel plant provided skill development training to 540 persons belonging to Tribal areas of Alluri Sitaramaraju District in their own villages in income generation skills like Cutting, Tailoring and dress making (200 beneficiaries), manufacture of home need chemicals (80 beneficiaries) and Adda leaf plate making (260 beneficiaries).

540 tribal people from 14 villages Nadimivalasa, Valasi, Ballimamidi, Malivalasa, Chompi, Pakanakudi, Malisingaram, Kondiba, Sivalingapuram, Geddamputtu, Tumpada, Ramulaputtu, Varthanapalli and Kadali tribal villages of Alluri Sitaramaraju District

RINL has spent Rs 19.98 lakhs towards imparting training as part of its Corporate Environment Responsibility.

Jana Sikshan Sansthan,Visakhapatnam under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was roped in to impart the necessary skills to the beneficiaries.

The training programs which commenced in December-2022 were successfully completed and the beneficiaries were assessed in their respective skills and certificates of successful completion of the course were handed over to them today.

Sri TV Ramana rao, DGM(Corporate Social Responsibility), RINL coordinated the training program and handed over the training completion certificates to the beneficiaries.

The needy tribals expressed their happiness and thanked RINL management for imparting them the much-needed training which would help them financially.
