RITES Bags Major Order Enhancement for NALCO Railway Siding Project, Value Revised to Rs. 118.89 Crore

In a significant development in the infrastructure and mining logistics sector, RITES Limited has secured a major enhancement in its ongoing contract with National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO).
The revised contract value now stands at Rs. 118.89 crore, up from the earlier Rs. 79.73 crore, marking an increase of approximately Rs. 39.16 crore. This upward revision reflects the expanded scope and additional responsibilities incorporated into the project.
Expanded Scope for Railway Siding Project
The project pertains to Detailed Engineering and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for the construction of a railway siding at Sankerjang under Phase-I of the Utkal-D Coal Mines project.
Being executed on a cost-plus turnkey basis, the assignment highlights RITES’ strong expertise in handling complex infrastructure projects in the mining and logistics space. The enhanced contract value underscores the growing scale and importance of the railway connectivity required for efficient coal evacuation.
