Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Degree in Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) with minimum 65% marks,
- In any of these 7 disciplines:
Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Metallurgy
SAIL MT Age Limit (as on 15-12-2025)
- Maximum age: 28 years
(Not born earlier than 05.12.1997) - Departmental Candidates: Up to 45 years
- Age Relaxation: As per SAIL rules
SAIL MT Salary 2025
- During Training:
- Basic Pay: ₹50,000/- per month
- Pay Scale: ₹50,000 – 1,60,000
- After Completion of Training (1 year):
- Designated as Assistant Manager (E1 Grade)
- Pay Scale: ₹60,000 – 1,80,000

Selection includes:
1. Online CBT Exam – 200 Marks
Part I – Domain Test (100 marks)

- Quantitative Aptitude – 25 marks
- English – 25 marks
- Reasoning – 25 marks
- General Awareness – 25 marks
