Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IndianOil), India’s flagship energy major, has announced the elevation of Saumitra P Srivastava as Director (Marketing). With over three decades of extensive experience across downstream operations, marketing, and strategic transformation, Mr. Srivastava brings a proven track record of innovation and leadership to the role.
A Civil Engineer from IIT Roorkee and an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, Mr. Srivastava has played a pivotal role in IndianOil’s journey towards customer-centric excellence and digital transformation.
In his previous capacity as Head of the Corporate Strategy Group, he spearheaded several key initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and streamlining business processes. Notably, he led the rollout of SPRINT, a company-wide transformation programme launched in April 2025, focused on fostering agility, innovation, and future-readiness across IndianOil’s operations.
Mr. Srivastava has also been instrumental in conceptualizing and executing several flagship initiatives such as the Dhruva Retail Transformation Project, the Non-Fuel Convenience Store strategy, and a host of technology-driven retail modernization programmes. His leadership has been central to driving business growth, improving profitability, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
As Director (Marketing), he is expected to further strengthen IndianOil’s marketing vision, steer the transition towards sustainable and future-ready fuels, and position the corporation as a leader in India’s evolving energy landscape.
