SCOPE Organizes DAKSH Dikshant Samaroh on Public Sector Day
Certificates were awarded to over 70 participants who successfully completed the program

The Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) organized the DAKSH Dikshant Samaroh, marking the convocation ceremony for the inaugural batch of its flagship senior leadership program conducted in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC).
The event also marked the commencement of month-long Public Sector Day celebrations, featuring the launch of the Public Sector Day film and the latest edition of SCOPE’s journal Kaleidoscope.
Distinguished Presence
The ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Ajit Seth, former Cabinet Secretary and former Chairman of PESB, K. P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman SCOPE & CMD NBCC, Atul Sobti, Director General SCOPE, Adil Zainulbhai, Alka Mittal, Bharat Bhasker, and Amit Khera.
Senior officials from ministries, government departments, public sector enterprises, and knowledge partners including McKinsey & Company and Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad also attended, along with family members of the graduating participants.
Celebrating Leadership Excellence
During the ceremony, certificates were awarded to over 70 participants who successfully completed the program. Awards were also presented to winners of the DAKSH Live Action Learning Projects (LALP), recognizing innovation and applied leadership excellence.
The DAKSH program—Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession & Harmony—is a 12-month immersive leadership journey designed to equip senior executives with strategic, behavioral, and transformational competencies to address evolving public sector challenges.
Vision for Future-Ready Leadership
Addressing the gathering, Ajit Seth emphasized that future-ready leaders must combine national pride with professional expertise to manage complex stakeholder environments. He called for modernization and urged leaders to balance efficiency, innovation, and resilience.
K. P. Mahadevaswamy highlighted that the SCOPE-CBC collaboration has created a unique leadership development pathway, stressing the importance of transitioning from functional roles to enterprise leadership through mindset transformation.
Atul Sobti noted that the DAKSH program has already produced 73 “future fluent leaders,” urging participants to see graduation as the beginning of a larger leadership journey aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
Adil Zainulbhai encouraged participants to reflect on their personal and professional growth and adopt a mission-driven approach to drive organizational and national transformation.
Alka Mittal emphasized continuous learning, collaboration, and lifelong networking as essential pillars of leadership.
Bharat Bhasker underlined the complexity of public sector leadership, stating that leaders must deeply understand organizational culture to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Amit Khera applauded participants for embracing a shift toward lifelong learning and urged them to adopt a strong service-oriented mindset.
