Successful Completion Of Five-Day Short Translation Training Program At CCL Headquarters

The five-day Short Translation Training Program concluded successfully on June 6, 2025, at Prakash Auditorium, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) Headquarters. The training was organized by the Official Language Department of CCL in collaboration with the Central Translation Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and was conducted from June 2 to June 6, 2025.
The primary objective of this training was to enhance the quality, accuracy, and ease of Hindi translation in administrative functions at CCL. The program featured two interactive sessions daily, providing participants with both practical and procedural training to improve their efficiency and linguistic sensitivity in using Hindi in the workplace.

The Chief Guest at the valedictory session was Sanjay Kumar Thakur, General Manager (Official Language), CCL. He felicitated Lekha Sareen, Assistant Director, Central Translation Bureau, by presenting her with a bouquet and a memento reflecting the cultural heritage of Jharkhand. In his address, Shri Thakur congratulated the participants for their active involvement and remarked, “The true success of this program lies in how well the participants implement the knowledge gained here in their day-to-day work.” He further emphasized the importance of continued practice, familiarity with technical tools, and real-world application of translation skills.
The training sessions were conducted by Lekha Sareen and Dr. Mohan Chandra Bahuguna, both from the Central Translation Bureau. The sessions covered key topics such as the Official Language Policy of the Union, Techniques of Office Translation, and the Use of Technical Tools, delivered through practical, analytical, and participatory methods.
At the closing ceremony, training certificates were distributed to all participants by the Central Translation Bureau. This program marks a significant step in the effective implementation of CCL’s Official Language Policy and stands out as a commendable initiative aimed at enhancing the linguistic proficiency and professional capabilities of its employees.
