Talk On “Common Mistakes In Financial Statements” Organized At RINL

A talk on “Common Mistakes in Financial Statements” was organized at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, in collaboration with the Ukkunagaram Study Circle of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). This event was held today in the main conference hall of RINL.

The talk was delivered by Shri Kamal Garg, a distinguished Chartered Accountant and a member of both the Accounting Standards Board (ASB) and the Financial Reporting Review Board (FRRB) of the ICAI, Delhi. Shri CHVRGK Ganesh, Director (Finance) at RINL, welcomed the attendees and chaired the session.

In his address to the finance team of RINL, Shri Kamal Garg emphasized the importance of transparent reporting in the preparation of financial statements. He highlighted the need to provide clear, comprehensive, and understandable information, which includes disclosing accounting policies, assumptions, and potential risks. This transparency is crucial for enabling stakeholders to make well-informed decisions.

On this occasion, Shri CHVRGK Ganesh presented a memento to Shri Kamal Garg. The event was attended by several notable individuals, including Shri Naresh Chandra Gelli, Senior Partner of Grandhy & Associates and Chairman for Members in Industry of the Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of ICAI, the Chief General Manager (F&A) of RINL, the convener of the Ukkunagaram Study Circle of ICAI, other senior officials from RINL’s Finance and Accounts Department, and the Statutory Audit Team of Grandhy & Associates.
