UP International Trade Show 2025 to Spotlight State’s Agricultural Heritage
The event will serve as an international platform for progressive farmers, startups, and companies from Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is set to showcase its rich agricultural culture at the third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025, scheduled to be held in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29 under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the five-day mega event on Thursday.
The Agriculture Department has been allocated a 1,000-square-meter exhibition area, where it will highlight the state’s progressive farming practices, agricultural technologies, and innovations. The exhibition will bring together five agricultural universities, the Uttar Pradesh Seed Development Corporation, the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) Varanasi, as well as leading companies dealing in seeds, fertilizers, equipment, and plant protection chemicals.
Focus on Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs)
With the support and coordination of the Agriculture Department, more than 15 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) from across the state—including Prayagraj, Etah, Jhansi, Meerut, Mahoba, Saharanpur, Barabanki, Gautam Budh Nagar, Lucknow, Siddharth Nagar, and Bulandshahr—will participate. These FPOs will exhibit agricultural products, equipment, and innovations, giving farmers a direct platform to connect with national and international buyers.
Universities at the Forefront
Five leading universities—Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur; Acharya Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technology, Ayodhya; Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut; Banda University of Agriculture and Technology, Banda; and Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture and Technology (SHUATS), Prayagraj—will represent Uttar Pradesh’s advancements in agricultural education and research.
Strong Industry Participation
The exhibition will also host 17 agricultural mechanization companies, 9 seed companies, 8 fertilizer firms, and 8 agro-protection enterprises, ensuring a comprehensive display of agricultural solutions. Visitors will be introduced to modern farming technologies, mechanization, and innovations, including drone applications and precision farming tools.
Agriculture Department’s Role
The Agriculture Department is playing a central role in organizing the exhibition. It has designated nodal officers to oversee smooth coordination across different sectors—agricultural education, seed production, fertilizers, equipment, pesticides, and drone technologies. Notably, IIT Kanpur’s agricultural technology wing and related startups will also be part of the show, highlighting cutting-edge innovations for the farming sector.
One Platform, Many Opportunities
The event will serve as an international platform for progressive farmers, startups, and companies from Uttar Pradesh, showcasing the state’s evolving agricultural ecosystem. With the entire state being represented at one venue, UPITS 2025 is expected to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s image as a hub of agricultural innovation, research, and enterprise.
