Dhami sought early approval of ₹150.16 crore for the expansion of Sitarganj Central Jail, citing rising needs

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the national capital, placing key proposals aimed at bolstering the state’s infrastructure and disaster resilience.
Highlighting rising cyber threats, the Chief Minister requested a central grant of ₹63.60 crore for setting up a Cyber Centre of Excellence in Dehradun. The centre would focus on cybercrime prevention, expert training, forensics, and modern digital capabilities.

The Chief Minister also urged that electrical infrastructure damaged in disasters—including power generation, transmission, and distribution—be brought under the ambit of NDRF/SDRF compensation, considering the unique vulnerabilities of Himalayan states.
Additionally, he sought early approval of ₹150.16 crore for the expansion of Sitarganj Central Jail, citing rising needs.

To celebrate the success of the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit 2023, where MoUs worth over ₹3.5 lakh crore were signed, the Chief Minister proposed organizing an ‘Uttarakhand Investment Festival’ in the Pantnagar-Rudrapur industrial belt and invited the Home Minister to grace the event as Chief Guest.
Home Minister Amit Shah assured positive consideration of all proposals. CM Dhami reaffirmed Uttarakhand’s commitment to building a “New India” under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
