Uttarakhand CM Inaugurates And Lays Foundation Stones For Projects Worth ₹113.65 Crore In Champawat District
CM directed officials to respond swiftly to citizens' concerns, ensuring no one has to run from office to office for redressal

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during his visit to the Chief Minister’s Camp Office in Tanakpur, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 18 major developmental schemes worth ₹11365.11 lakh (₹113.65 crore) aimed at transforming infrastructure and public facilities across Champawat district.

The CM inaugurated 13 schemes worth ₹4786.25 lakh and laid the foundation stone for 5 new projects worth ₹6578.86 lakh, covering key areas including tourism, roads, water supply, and urban development.

Key Projects Inaugurated and Laid:
- Construction of a multi-storey parking facility at Tourist Rest House, Tanakpur (₹498.25 lakh)
- Beautification of Sipti Waterfall and Gul construction (₹78.20 lakh)
- Himadri Emporium Centre under 13 Districts, 13 Destinations Scheme (₹130.56 lakh)
- Heart Market Craft Centre in Shyamalatal (₹90.28 lakh)
- Major drinking water schemes including Bagdorakhas and Nayal (₹157.08 lakh combined)
- Extensive road improvement and reconstruction including Sukhidhang-Danda-Minar Motor Road and internal village roads (Over ₹3000 lakh combined)
- Construction of residential and non-residential buildings in Champawat Jail (₹5567.77 lakh)
- Upgradation of Maa Purnagiri Temple access routes under Manaskhand Corridor (₹605.68 lakh)
- Panchmukhi Gaushala construction under Tanakpur Municipal Council (₹146.86 lakh)

During his visit, CM Dhami interacted with senior citizens and intellectuals, underlining the importance of integrating their experience into governance and district development. He emphasized that the vision of an ideal district can only be achieved by learning from those who have seen and shaped the community over decades.
CM Dhami reiterated the government’s commitment to simplification, resolution, and citizen-centric governance, stating that all schemes and welfare benefits are now integrated online to reduce public hardship and ensure transparency.
