The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam concluded a 5-day Leadership Development Program for officers of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. on April 3rd, 2024. Twenty-eight officers from Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd. participated in the program.
Shri S C Pandey, Director (Personnel), Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Visakhapatnam, graced the inaugural session as the chief guest. In his valedictory address, he underscored leadership is not merely about holding a position of authority; it is about inspiring others to reach their full potential, overcoming challenges, and achieving collective success. In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, the need for visionary leaders who can navigate uncertainty, adapt to change, and inspire confidence has never been greater.
Shri S C Pandey highlighted RINL’s commitment to nurturing leadership at all levels through tailored programs, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. He urged management professionals to embrace servant leadership, empathy, and inclusivity, emphasizing that each individual has the potential to drive positive change. Closing with a quote from Nelson Mandela “It always seems impossible until it’s done.”, Shri S C Pandey encouraged attendees to persevere in the face of challenges. Prof. Bishakha Majumdar, Program Director summarized the program and highlighted some key takeaways.
