Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA), which has established Yamuna City, has taken the initiative to develop the villages around Jewar Airport as model villages. YEIDA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rakesh Kumar Singh says that Jewar Airport and world-class city are being established only due to the farmers living in the village. For this reason, YEIDA has started a campaign to develop the villages of Jewar area as model villages

Rakesh Kumar Singh is originally a native of a village in Uttar Pradesh. This is the reason that Rakesh Kumar Singh knows and understands the problems of the villages very well. Since taking over as the CEO of YIDA, Rakesh Kumar Singh has given priority to development schemes in the villages of YIDA area. In this episode, a campaign has been started to develop 29 villages around Jewar Airport as model villages.

YIDA has already started the work of making the villages model villages by preparing a detailed project report (DPR) of 29 villages around Jewar Airport. YIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh has further accelerated this work. All kinds of facilities will be provided to develop the villages around Jewar Airport as model villages. YIDA officials said that there are 29 villages around Jewar Airport which are being made model villages. Out of these 29 villages, development work is being completed in 9 villages as per DPR. After this, the tender process is being carried out to get development work done in 11 villages.

YEIDA CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh has given strict instructions to the officials associated with the development of villages. He has said that if there is negligence in development work in the villages, action will be taken against the concerned contractor or company, even blacklisting them will be considered. Along with this, payment can also be stopped if quality work is not received. The authority has sought details of the nine villages developed so far under DPR, according to which the work will be reviewed. A target has been set till December 2026 to make 29 villages around Jewar Airport Adarsh. About Rs 350 crore will be spent on the development work of all these villages. The amount spent on nine villages so far will also be audited. Details of expenditure will be prepared according to the village. At the same time, contractors will be paid only after knowing what facilities have been developed in which villages, what is their status now.
