Visakhapatnam Steel Executives Association Felicitate Chairman And Secretary Of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant PF Trust
The body honoured the duo for their efforts in resolving the EPS 95 issue
The Visakhapatnam Steel Executives Association (SEA) today felicitated the Chairman of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant PF Trust, H. K. Jha, and Secretary, S. Ramprasad, for their dedicated efforts in resolving the Employees’ Pension Scheme (EPS) 95 issue.
Their intervention was instrumental in determining the eligibility of employees who applied under Clause 11.3 and in addressing the grievances of those who had not received their pension orders, despite waiting for over 15 months after depositing the required funds as per the demand letters issued by the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC). On behalf of the Trust, they persistently pursued the matter with the Union Labour Minister, Labour Secretary, Commissioner of the Central PF Trust, CBT members, and local RPFC authorities. Through continuous follow-ups, submission of documentary evidence, and personal meetings with local RPFC officers, they ensured that pensions would be provided to approximately 5,500 eligible employees of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant under EPS 95.
In addition, the SEA has urged the management to expedite the crediting of outstanding Provident Fund (PF) and Employees’ Superannuation Benefit Fund (ESBF) dues into employees’ accounts at the earliest.
The felicitation event was attended by SEA President Katam S. S. Chandra Rao, General Secretary K. V. D. Prasad, Vice President Chandra Venkateswara Rao, Treasurer Patnala Lokesh, Executive Members M. Appa Rao, Mrs. Umasundari, and other distinguished members.
