Eight resolutions passed by the National Executive Committee Of AIDEF

In the back drop after the Membership Verification of the Trade Unions held in the Ministry of Defence and AIDEF emerging as the number One and major Federation of the Defence Civilian Employees, The National Executive Committee of All India Defence Employees Federation met at Khamaria, Jabalpur on the 15th and 16th of February 2024. The meeting was presided over by S.N. Pathak President and the report of the activites of the Federation was placed by C.Srikumar General secretary. In the two days discussion the participants focused on the failure of the Government’s decision Corporatising the 41 Ordnance Factories, Retaining the status of the Employees of Ordnance Factories as Central Government Employees, Recommendations of Prof. Vijayaraghavan Committee on DRDO, Scrapping of the Contributory Pension Scheme the National Pension System and restore the defined and guaranteed Old Pension Scheme, apathy of the Government towards the Defence Civilian Employees in not settling their outstanding demands, immediate setting up of eighth Central Pay Commission for revision of the Pay Scales, allowances and Pension etc, breach of settlement reached in the presence of Central Chief Labour Commissioner between AIDEF and the Ministry of Defence by the four Corporations MIL, AVNL,AWEIL,IOL in nomination of the Employees Representatives, to the IR Mechanism non grant of compassionate appointment in Ordnance Factories, recruitment Ex-Trade Apprentices and other issues and issue as MES, DEDO, EME, AOC, Navy, DGQA, Airforce etc.

After the discussions in the two days NEC meeting of AIDEF the following Resolutions were unanimously passed and forwarded to the Government for consideration and settlement.

Resolution No.1

AIDEF congratulates and thank the Defence Civilian Employees for standing like a Rock with AIDEF and establishing once again AIDEF as their saviour and No.1 and major Federation of the Defence Civilian Employees

Resolution No.2

National Executive Committee of AIDEF urges upon the Govt. of India to withdraw the Government decision of corporatizing the Ordnance Factories being a failed experiment.

Resolution No.3

AIDEF National Executive Committee urges upon the Govt. of India to not accept the adverse recommendations of Prof. Vijayaraghavan Committee and to save the DRDO from liquidation

Resolution No.4

National Executive Committee of AIDEF urges upon the Govt. of India to immediately scrap the Contributory Pension Scheme NPS and to restore the Defined and Guaranteed Pension under CCS(Pension) Rules 1972 (Now 2021) and also endorses the decision taken in the meeting of JFROPS to go for an Indefinite strike demanding for scrapping NPS and restoration of the Defined and Guaranteed Pension under CCS(Pension) Rules 1972 (now 2021).

Resolution No.5

National Executive Committee of AIDEF demands to the Govt. of India to settle the various outstanding issues of the Defence Civilian Employees of all the Directorates under MoD.

Resolution No.6

National Executive Committee of AIDEF urges upon the Govt. of India to issue a notification declaring that the employees of Ordnance Factories will remain as Central Govt. employees/Defence Civilian employees in the 7 Ordnance Factory Corporations till their retirement / superannuation with all the benefits / service conditions as decided by the Cabinet and as assured in writing by the govt. before the Hon’ble Madras High Court in the WP filed by AIDEF.

Resolution No.7

National Executive Committee of AIDEF urging the Govt. of India to constitute the 8th Central Pay Commission to the Central Govt. Employees and Pensioners.

Resolution No.8

Protest Against the breach up settlement reached in the Presence of CLC(C) between AIDEF and DDP for nomination of Federation Representatives in the IR Mechanism by the four Ordnance Factory Corporations viz. MIL, ANVL, AWEIL and IOL.
