Yoga Se Yogya – CCL’s Inclusive And Inspiring Initiative On International Yoga Day

For the first time - The Inclusive Yoga Series: Seven Heartfelt Episodes

On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2025, when the entire nation and world resonated with the spirit of yoga, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) launched a series of inclusive initiatives that not only stood out in concept but also proved to be deeply inspiring. These efforts, now widely appreciated, were aimed at making yoga accessible and comfortable for everyone—regardless of physical ability, age, gender, or background.

Yoga as a Way of Life

CCL firmly propagated that yoga is not just a form of physical exercise, but a way of life—a sanskar, a tradition, and a powerful medium for fostering social harmony. Reinforcing this philosophy, thousands gathered for the main event at Ground No. 4, Piparwar. Led by CCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director Nilendu Kumar Singh, the event witnessed participation from all Directors, the CVO, senior officers, GMs, labour union representatives, local villagers, stakeholders, women, and youth—making it a remarkable symbol of unity.

The session was conducted by Girin Govind Ji, International Director of Sri Sri Yoga, who traveled from Bengaluru for the occasion. He guided attendees through yoga practices, explained their benefits, and inspired them to adopt yoga as a daily discipline. The enthusiasm and joy on the faces of participants—especially villagers, women, and youth—reflected a collective resolve to embrace yoga as a part of daily life.

This event was more than a wellness campaign—it was a social movement, proving that when organized intent meets mass participation, it can spark real transformation.

Yoga Lecture Series at Headquarters

Later that day, a special lecture series was held at the Sangam Auditorium of the Gangotri Convention Center, CCL Headquarters. Shri Girin Govind Ji delivered an impactful talk on yoga’s significance for mental peace, emotional balance, and social harmony.

He emphasized:“Yoga is the path of self-discipline, balance, and happiness. By adopting it, one can attain excellence in both personal and professional life.”

He also acknowledged the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under whose leadership yoga has earned global recognition and is increasingly seen as a way of life across nations.

A Commitment Beyond a Day

CCL believes that yoga should not be limited to one day’s celebration—it should be a lifestyle. Through this inclusive campaign, CCL demonstrated that yoga can be a unifying force, connecting:

  • Children to senior citizens
  • Women to especially abled individuals
  • Corporate officials to grassroots athletes
  • When every section of society embraces yoga, it becomes a cornerstone for building a strong, inclusive, and culturally enriched nation

Theme of Yoga Day 2025

This year’s theme—“Yoga for One Earth, One Health”—highlights the need for harmony between humans and nature. The 11th International Yoga Day celebration became even more special with CCL’s impactful contributions.

These initiatives, driven by CC & PR Department of CCL, received overwhelming support from management and participants alike.

Leadership with Vision

Under the leadership of CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, CCL is not only practicing sustainable and environment-friendly mining but is also excelling in areas of public welfare, inclusivity, and health. These yoga initiatives reflect CCL’s commitment to becoming not just a coal producer, but a responsible nation-builder contributing meaningfully to state and national development.
