BCCL Holds 8th General Manager Coordination Meeting, Focuses on Production, Dispatch, Quality and Safety
A strong emphasis was placed on achieving 100% target fulfillment for production and dispatch within the current month

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) convened its 1st and 8th General Manager Coordination Meeting of FY 2026–27 at the Level-3 Auditorium of Koyla Bhawan Headquarters under the chairmanship of CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal.
The meeting undertook a comprehensive review of key operational parameters, including coal production, dispatch, overburden removal (OBR), transportation capacity, and environmental clearances. A strong emphasis was placed on achieving 100% target fulfillment for production and dispatch within the current month.
Strategic Push for Operational Efficiency
Discussions focused on enhancing production capacity, optimizing resource utilization, and improving the efficiency of the dispatch system. Equal priority was accorded to quality coal production and the expansion of washeries, aligning with BCCL’s broader operational goals.
Zero-Tolerance on Illegal Activities and Safety Risks
Security and law-and-order concerns figured prominently during the deliberations. The CMD reiterated a zero-tolerance policy towards coal theft, illegal mining, and violent incidents in mining areas, especially in light of recent developments. Ensuring a safe working environment for employees was emphasized as a top priority.
Strengthening Monitoring and Security Infrastructure
The meeting resolved to upgrade monitoring systems in sensitive zones, with a phased deployment of modern technologies aimed at improving real-time surveillance, accountability, and rapid response mechanisms.
Senior officials, including Regional General Managers and DIG CISF Jitendra Tiwari, provided key inputs on security management, law enforcement coordination, and prevention of illegal mining activities. After detailed deliberations, a consensus was reached on implementing a robust and actionable security framework.
Call for Coordinated Efforts
CMD Manoj Kumar Agarwal directed all officials to work in a coordinated and mission-driven manner to ensure the company’s overall growth, strengthen operational efficiency, maintain safety standards, and effectively curb illegal activities.
The meeting was attended by Director (Technical/Operations) Sanjay Singh, Director (Finance) Rajesh Kumar, Senior Advisor (Security) Vipul Shukla, along with General Managers, Heads of Departments, CISF officials, and other senior officers.
