BCCL’s Munidih Coal Washery Analytical Laboratory Gets NABL Accreditation

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) has achieved a major milestone in strengthening its quality and institutional framework with the NABL accreditation of the Analytical Laboratory at Munidih Coal Washery, under its Washery Division.

The laboratory has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the internationally recognised standard for testing and calibration laboratories. The accreditation follows a rigorous evaluation process assessing technical competence, quality management systems, and compliance with global testing standards.

The ISO/IEC 17025:2017 certification ensures that testing carried out at the Munidih Coal Washery Analytical Laboratory is accurate, reliable, transparent, and globally acceptable, reinforcing confidence in coal quality assessment and operational efficiency.

Expressing his satisfaction over the achievement, BCCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Manoj Agarwal, said that the NABL accreditation reflects the company’s strong commitment to quality, reliability, and technical excellence.

“Operating the laboratory as per international standards will ensure precision and transparency in testing procedures while enhancing BCCL’s efficiency, credibility, and reputation,” he said, while congratulating the Munidih Coal Washery team for their dedicated efforts.
