CMD BCCL Flags Off New Fleet of Production Vehicles at Aina Colliery, Kusunda

The CMD formally flagged off five 35-tonne capacity tippers (Hiva vehicles) and one excavator (shovel) with a 3.2 cubic metre bucket capacity deployed at the DE Patch operated by RK Earth Resources Pvt. Ltd.

Strengthening its operational capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to technological modernization, the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), Shri Manoj Kumar Agrawal, today inaugurated a newly inducted fleet of high-capacity production vehicles at Aina Colliery under Kusunda Area.

The CMD formally flagged off five 35-tonne capacity tippers (Hiva vehicles) and one excavator (shovel) with a 3.2 cubic metre bucket capacity deployed at the DE Patch operated by RK Earth Resources Pvt. Ltd. The new machinery has been introduced to enhance coal production efficiency and operational safety.

Senior officials present on the occasion included General Manager (Kusunda Area) Nikhil Trivedi, General Manager (Excavation) Kusunda A.K. Singh, Project Officer (Kusunda) B.K. Jha, along with officers, staff members, and representatives of RK Earth Resources.

Addressing the gathering, CMD Manoj Kumar Agrawal stated that the induction of modern machinery will significantly strengthen production capacity in the region while improving efficiency and safety standards. He emphasized that BCCL remains committed to continuous technological upgradation, maintaining coal quality, and adopting best practices in mining operations.

He further highlighted that active employee participation, a strong safety culture, and the deployment of advanced equipment will enable the company to achieve its production targets more effectively.

BCCL has been consistently taking initiatives to expand production capacity and ensure quality assurance. In January, the analytical laboratory at the Munidih Coal Washery received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) under the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard for testing. Additionally, the 2 MTPA Bhojudih Washery has been successfully commissioned, while the tendering process for the 15 MTPA Block-E project is targeted for completion within the current financial year.

The company continues to focus on strengthening institutional systems, promoting a quality-driven work culture, and advancing technology-enabled mining practices across its operations.
