Bharat Coking Coal Limited Achieves Strong Success in NRS Linkage Auction Tranche-IX, Books 7.45 Lakh Tonnes of Coal

The auction witnessed robust participation, with 124 successful bidders, reflecting strong market demand and positive sentiment across industries

Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, has achieved a significant milestone under the NRS Linkage Auction (Other Sub-Sectors) Tranche-IX, successfully booking 7.45 lakh tonnes per annum (LTPA) of coal.

The auction witnessed robust participation, with 124 successful bidders, reflecting strong market demand and positive sentiment across industries. The outcome highlights BCCL’s transparent auction mechanisms, operational efficiency, and commitment to meeting consumer requirements.

In a key development, Long-Term Fuel Supply Agreements (FSA) for a period of 10 years will be executed online with all successful bidders. The agreements will be effective until June 2026, ensuring a stable and uninterrupted coal supply to industries, thereby supporting sustained production activities.

This achievement underscores the growing demand in the coal sector and reinforces BCCL’s pivotal role in strengthening India’s energy security. Such successful auctions not only accelerate industrial growth but also contribute significantly to the national economy.

Speaking on the occasion, BCCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Manoj Kumar Agarwal, said:
“The success of the NRS Linkage Auction Tranche-IX is a proud moment for BCCL. It reflects growing industry confidence and strong coal demand. We remain committed to ensuring reliable supply through transparent and efficient processes, and will continue to contribute actively to the nation’s energy needs and economic development.”
