BHEL Hands Over ₹109.98 Crore Dividend Cheque to Government of India

Dividend payout for FY 2024–25 doubles compared to previous year; ceremony attended by Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) on Monday handed over a dividend cheque of ₹109.98 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2024–25, marking a significant milestone with a 100 per cent increase over the dividend paid in the previous financial year.

The Dividend Distribution Ceremony was held on December 15, 2025, and was graced by the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy. The event was attended by the Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries, the Joint Secretary of the Ministry, and the Chairman & Managing Director along with Functional Directors of BHEL.

During the ceremony, the dividend cheque was formally presented to the Union Minister, reflecting BHEL’s improved financial performance and continued contribution to the national exchequer.

Addressing the gathering, H.D. Kumaraswamy exhorted BHEL to play a pivotal role in the realisation of Viksit Bharat by actively supporting key initiatives of the Government of India. Emphasising BHEL’s position as a leading heavy engineering and manufacturing PSU, the Minister advised the company to further strengthen its efforts towards the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India.

The enhanced dividend payout underscores BHEL’s renewed operational momentum and its commitment to value creation for stakeholders, while reinforcing its role in supporting India’s industrial and infrastructure growth.
