CCL Honours UPSC Topper Vaibhav Kumar, Proud Moment For Coal India Family
CMD CCL Nilendu Kumar Singh felicitates Vaibhav Kumar, son of Viresh Kumar, Staff Officer (Project & Planning)

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh today felicitated Vaibhav Kumar, son of Viresh Kumar, Staff Officer (Project & Planning), Kuju Area, for securing the 90th rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024.
During the special ceremony at CCL headquarters, CMD presented a memento to Vaibhav and honoured his parents, Viresh Kumar and Sunita Kumari, with shawls and bouquets in recognition of their support and contribution.

Speaking on the occasion, Nilendu Singh said, “Vaibhav’s achievement is a matter of immense pride not just for his family, but for the entire Coal India community. His success reflects the values and strength of our extended CCL family.”
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Director (Finance) Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Technical/Operations) Chandra Shekhar Tiwari, Chief Vigilance Officer Pankaj Kumar, Head of CC & PR Alok Gupta and other senior officials.
A short documentary showcasing Vaibhav’s inspiring journey—from his early days to cracking the UPSC twice—was screened, highlighting his perseverance and the unwavering support of his family. Notably, Vaibhav had secured 151st rank in UPSC 2023 and is currently serving in the Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes). His improved rank this year enhances his prospects for higher civil services.
CCL CMD has been proactively organizing such motivational events to celebrate the achievements of CCL family members, fostering unity and inspiration within the organization.
