Coal India Director (Technical) Achyut Ghatak Visits SECL’s Gevra Mine, Reviews Production and Dispatch
Ghatak inspects key infrastructure, shares inputs to enhance productivity at Asia’s largest coal mine
Director (Technical), Coal India Limited, Achyut Ghatak, on Wednesday visited Gevra Mine of its subsidiary South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) to review operational performance.
During the visit, Ghatak assessed coal production and despatch operations and offered strategic inputs aimed at expediting output and improving overall productivity. He also inspected critical infrastructure including the belt transportation system and the Coal Handling Plant (CHP).
Gevra Mine holds global significance as the world’s second-largest and Asia’s largest coal mine. The mine has already produced 38 million tonnes of coal in the current financial year, underlining its vital role in meeting the country’s energy requirements.
