As part of this collaboration, PNB has launched the PNB Kiwi Credit Card on the RuPay network, marking a significant push toward integrating formal credit with India’s fast-growing digital payments ecosystem.
The newly introduced card offers:
- Fully digital onboarding
- Seamless UPI integration
- Cashback rewards ranging from 0.5% to 1.5% on online transactions
This initiative is aimed at delivering a frictionless, secure, and inclusive credit experience, especially for customers in semi-urban and rural regions.
Speaking on the development, Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Executive Director, PNB, highlighted the bank’s strong distribution network and digital ambitions. He noted that with over 10,000 branches—60% located in semi-urban and rural areas—PNB is well positioned to bridge the credit gap and bring underserved populations into the formal financial system.
He further emphasized that the growing adoption of UPI presents a unique opportunity to merge payments with accessible credit solutions, enhancing everyday financial flexibility.
