SEA Representatives Meet Newly Elected Visakhapatnam MP & Pendurthi MLA To Resolve Issues Of RINL

SEA told the MP that the 4000 officers working in RINL are unhappy due to the suspension of promotions for officers from 2019

SEA requested immediate financial aid to Visakha Steel which is in acute financial trouble. Sand & Manganese or Mines should be renewed, time should be given to pay electricity dues, VSP steel should be used in state government projects / construction of Amaravati, to use steel for construction of houses for the poor, and to give at least Rs. two thousand crores as an advance for these.

Shri Panchkarla Ramesh Babu said that Pawan Kalyan and Chandrababu Naidu will be committed to save Visakhapatnam Steel Plant – RINL. He also said that he would request the state government to help as much as possible. He promised to arrange a meeting with Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan soon. He also said that he would try to convince the central government to merge with Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).

SEA had a long discussion with Visakhapatnam MP Mathukumilli Sribharat on the problems faced by Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. He said that he will discuss the same with Rammohan Naidu and Srinivas Varma who are in the central cabinet and that it is his responsibility to protect Vizag Steel Plant. He said that he will have a meeting with the officials of various departments soon and will also discuss it with them too. He assured that he will discuss with matter State Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and will convince the state government to help it this matter.

SEA told the MP that the 4000 officers working in RINL are unhappy due to the suspension of promotions for officers from 2019. In addition, no pay revision has been done since 2017 and many officers are leaving the RINL due to the lack of a wage agreement.

SEA President Katam SS Chandra Rao, General Secretary KVD Prasad, Vice President Chandra Venkateswara Rao, Joint Secretary Narasimha, Working Committee members Himansu and ARV Apparao participated in this meeting.
