Hotel Industry Readies To Welcome More Tourists In Kashi

11 hotels will be started soon at a cost of 838 crores, this includes many chain famous hotels

The number of tourists in Kashi has increased tremendously. Since the inauguration of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham on 13 December 2021, 16.46 crore devotees have visited Baba. At the same time, more than 8.54 crore tourists reached Kashi in 2023. This number remained in lakhs even in the six months of 2024. In view of this, the hotel industry in Kashi is also ready to welcome the increasing number of tourists in Uttar Pradesh. With the inauguration of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ramlala in Ayodhya and strengthening of the basic structure of Kashi, record arrival of tourists is happening in Varanasi. At the same time, there is a possibility of a tremendous increase in the number of tourists in Varanasi during the 2025 Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. Out of the MoUs signed here, 4 hotels, resorts and wellness centers have been started.

The number of tourists coming into Kashi is setting a record

The number of tourists in Kashi is setting records. In view of the increasing number of tourists and the policies of the Yogi government, the hotel industry in Kashi is growing rapidly. With an investment of about 449 crores from the MoUs signed in Ground Breaking Ceremony 4.0, 4 hotels have been started for hospitality. There are also resorts and wellness centers in it, which have provided employment to more than a thousand people. At the same time, 11 hotels will start soon at a cost of 838 crores. These include many big and famous hotels as well. Their opening is likely to create thousands of employment opportunities.

Hoteliers also happy with flourishing business in Kashi

Anandam Spiritual Wellness Center and Resort has been started near the Shultankeshwar temple in Kashi from where the Ganga flows north. Director Udit Kumar Vasudeva said that with the construction of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham and Ram Temple in Ayodhya, along with better connectivity and improvement in infrastructure, it was expected that the number of tourists in Varanasi will increase tremendously, and a good place will be needed for their stay. During the stay in Kashi, along with spirituality, religion, culture and heritage, facilities of naturopathy will also be available.

Tata Group is going to launch Banaras Beads branded budget hotel in collaboration with its hotel companies. It will be ready in about two and a half to three years. Group’s managing director Shivani Gupta said that it will fulfill the needs of tourists coming to Varanasi. This hotel will take full care of the pocket of middle class families of the country.

MD of Double Tree Hotel, a franchise of Hilton Hotel Group, Heera Lal Jaiswal said that Kashi has seen a planned development since 2014. The idea of ​​opening a hotel was hatched in view of the increasing number of tourists in Varanasi. It is running successfully today. Soon another hotel, Holiday Inn, will also start.
