75th Republic Day Celebrated With Patriotic Fervor At RINL

CMD RINL unfurled the National Flag, took the salute and inspected the guard of honor accorded by the CISF Jawans

RINL, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant celebrated the 75th Republic Day with patriotic fervor at the sprawling Trishna grounds at Ukkunagaram, today. Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL unfurled the National Flag, took the salute and inspected the guard of honor accorded by the CISF Jawans and an impressive march-past by the CISF & school contingents.

Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL conveyed his Republic Day greetings and thanks to RINL employees, CISF family & Home Guards for rendering excellent service in providing security and safety of the plant and township, Trade Unions; Executives Association; SC & ST and OBC Associations; WIPS; Visteel Mahila Samithi;, Principals, teachers and students of various schools.

Shri Atul Bhatt specially thanked the Authorities at the Ministry of Steel; the State & Central Government Authorities; the District Administration; the Print and Electronic Media and the Citizens of Visakhapatnam and to all Suppliers, Customers, Partners, Stake holders and well-wishers, who have made RINL an enviable organization

“Today, as we celebrate the 75th Republic Day, India has emerged as a vibrant and glorious democracy respected by all with an enviably growing economy, targeting a $5 trillion economy”, Shri Atul Bhatt said.

Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL said that to face challenges ahead in 2024, RINL has designed a robust and multi thronged approach for making turnaround of the plant. Sri Atul Bhatt exuded confidence that 2024 would be a very promising year for RINL and gave a clarion call for the RINL collective to make 2024 a memorable and profitable year for RINL with concerted efforts.

“Based on one of the turnaround strategies, blowing in of the Blast Furnace-3 has been done on 30/12/2023 and the starting and ramping up of the production from Blast furnace – 3(Annapurna) is smooth and production has already touched 4600 t / day in January, 2024”, Shri Atul Bhatt said.

“The Steel Industry is one of the leading drivers of the Indian Economy. Indian Government is giving lot of thrust for the overall development with the infrastructure projects such as Industrial Corridors, Dedicated Freight Corridor, Bharatmala, Sagarmala & other schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana; Har Ghar Jal scheme; Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and the flagship “Make in India” programme of the Government, Housing for all and affordable housing and the smart cities mission will also provide the necessary fillip in increasing the per capita consumption of steel in India.”, Shri Atul Bhatt said.

Shri AK Bagchi, Director (Projects) & additional charge Director (Operations), Shri SC Pandey, Director (Personnel) and additional charge Director (Finance), Dr. S. Karuna Raju, IAS, Chief Vigilance Officer, RINL, Smt. Nupur Bhatt, President, Visteel Mahila Samiti, Shri A.M. Haneef, Commandant, CISF, senior officials of CISF, CGMs, GMS, Senior Officials, representatives of SEA, trade Unions, Mrs. Sagarika Bagchi, Mrs. Aabha Pandey, Vice-Presidents, Visteel Mahila Samiti (VMS) and executive committee members of VMS, SC&ST Association, OBC association, WIPS, and a large number of employees enthusiastically participated in the Republic day celebrations at RINL.

The Republic day celebrations witnessed outstanding demonstration of CISF Dog squad, special skills by the CISF rifle skills, fire-fighting skills by the CISF and outstanding colourful cultural programs depicting patriotism by several school children from Visakha Vimala Vidyalayam, Depaul school Little angel school, Delhi Public Schools of Ukkunagaram. The CISF Fire wing demonstrated their skills in firefighting in different patterns and also an impressive display of Tricolor water jets representing the National Flag.
