SBI Provides Financial Assistance Of Rs. 02 Crore To Persons Displaced From Joshimath
Landslides took place in Joshimath of Uttarakhand in January this year
State Bank of India (SBI) provided financial assistance of Rs. 02 crore to the Uttarakhand State Disaster Relief Fund on Thursday. Mr. Kalpesh Kr. Awasia, Chief General Manager of SBI’s New Delhi Circle, presented and handed over a check of Rs. 02 crore to support the relief and rehabilitation efforts for the displaced people from the landslide area in Joshimath.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the State Bank of India for their cooperation and the generous amount provided to help the affected individuals. He also mentioned that there are various infrastructure development projects planned for the four identified Vibrant Villages in the state: Mana, Niti, Malari, and Gunji. The Chief Minister requested continued cooperation from SBI for these initiatives as well.
Mr. Kalpesh Kr. Awasia, Chief General Manager of SBI’s New Delhi Circle, stated that SBI consistently provides financial assistance at different levels of society as part of its social responsibilities. The bank aims to raise awareness and support those in need. He assured that SBI will continue to contribute to various social activities in the state in the future.
Deputy General Managers of Uttarakhand Zone of SBI, Mr. Rajkumar Singh and Mr. Amarendra Kumar Singh, were also present during the presentation of the financial assistance.
