Girl Empowerment Mission Concludes At NTPC Kanti
District Magistrate, Muzaffarpur, boosts enthusiasm of the girls
The Girl Empowerment Mission which started on June 6 in NTPC Kanti concluded on Saturday. Showcasing the budding talent of girls, 40 girls from 8 schools participated in this initiative organised for a month to promote their skills. The District Magistrate of Muzaffarpur Shri Pranav Kumar and Smt. Ananya, who were present as chief guests at the closing ceremony, greatly praised this initiative.
Various cultural programs were also performed after the formal launch of the programme. First of all, the girls started the episode of the cultural program by worshipping Ganesh. GEM girls presented dance, drama etc. at the closing ceremony of the Girl Empowerment Mission. The girls participated enthusiastically in all the cultural programs and gave wonderful performances. All the guests present in the program were mesmerized by the talent of the girls and praised the hard work of the girls.
Girl Empowerment Mission was organized in NTPC Kanti for the very first time, in which 40 girls from neighbouring villages were given education for one month, besides residential training in self-improvement, personality development, skill development, music, dance and self-defence etc.
Addressing the girls, the District Magistrate of Muzaffarpur Shri Pranav Kumar said, “This is a commendable initiative of NTPC Kanti. NTPC Kanti has done a great job of instilling confidence in the girls. When the girls will go back to their village, they will have a high confidence level and will definitely bring laurels to their family and their village.”
Shri K. M.K. Prusty, Head Of Project, Kanti said that “The girls should move forward continuously on the path of success in their life and they should get success in achieving every goal. For this purpose, they have been trained here. I not only hope but have complete faith that whatever these trained girls have been able to learn in four weeks, by sharing it with their surrounding environment and their friends, they will definitely work to move them forward on their path of life.”
Senior officers of the Muzaffarpur district administration who came to participate in the program also appreciated the whole campaign and inspired them to do similar work in future also.
On this occasion, the Head of Project, NTPC Kanti, Shri K.M.K. Prusty along with all the senior officials from NTPC Kanti, Smt. Ananya, senior officials of Muzaffarpur district administration and the president of Sanghamitra Mahila Mandal, Smt Sushma Prusty along with members of Mahila Mandal were present on the occasion.
