Temporary Closure Of 32 Airports Lifted

Airports are now available for civil Aircraft operations with immediate effect

Temporary closure of 32 Airports for civil Aircraft operations till 05:29 hrs of 15 May 2025 has been lifted. These Airports are now available for civil Aircraft operations with immediate effect.

Travellers are advised to check flight status directly with the Airlines and monitor Airline’s websites for regular updates.

Earlier, Airports Authority of India (AAI) and relevant aviation authorities had issued a series of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) announcing the temporary closure of 32 airports across northern and western India for all civil flight operations, effective from 9th to 14th May 2025 (which corresponds to 0529 IST on 15th May 2025), due to operational reasons. The following airports were affected by this NOTAM:

  • Bikaner

  • Halwara
  • Hindon
  • Jaisalmer
  • Jammu
  • Jamnagar

  • Kangra (Gaggal)
  • Keshod
  • Kishangarh
  • Kullu Manali (Bhuntar)
  • Leh
  • Ludhiana
  • Mundra
  • Naliya
  • Pathankot
  • Patiala
  • Porbandar
  • Rajkot (Hirasar)
  • Sarsawa
  • Shimla
  • Srinagar
  • Thoise
  • Uttarlai

All civil flight activities from these airports were suspended temporarily.
