Advocate Prateek Tanwar, a distinguished legal professional practicing at the Supreme Court of India, has been appointed as Independent Director on the Board of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) — a Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.
With a dynamic career spanning law, education, and public service, Mr. Tanwar brings a wealth of experience and insight to the RINL Board. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Electronics and Communication from Delhi University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA), and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Lloyd Law College.
In active legal practice since 2009, Mr. Tanwar has handled both civil and criminal matters across all courts in Delhi. He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Delhi High Court Bar Association, operating from Chamber No. 249, S-Block, Delhi High Court.
He is also a trained and certified mediator, currently serving as a Court-appointed Mediator at Rouse Avenue District Court, New Delhi. His balanced approach to dispute resolution has been widely acknowledged.
Further showcasing his legal acumen, Mr. Tanwar is empanelled as an Advocate for the State Bank of India and serves as an Additional Central Government Counsel (ACGC) for the Union of India — roles that underline his trusted engagement with key legal and public institutions.
Before stepping into the legal arena, Mr. Tanwar founded and operated Prateek Tutorials from 1994 to 2006, a reputed educational institute that focused on Mathematics and Physics for students up to Class XII, reflecting his long-standing commitment to nurturing talent and academic excellence.
